Tora Leslie

Commercial Solicitor - Commercial Property, Business Law

What do you do?

As a solicitor in the commercial property/commercial team, I act for many clients including borrowers and lenders in refinancing matters, large scale developers and individuals on commercial leasehold and freehold purchases as well as joint venture partners, landlords, tenants and businesses.

Having graduated with a First in Law at Queen Mary University, I completed my training contract at Huggins in 2009 and returned as a Consultant in 2017 after working in Central London specialising in national defence and infrastructure planning and inquiry law.

How do you make a difference for your clients?

Very few of us follow the 9-5 lifestyle anymore and that is particularly true of clients who instruct me in fast moving commercial transactions and refinancing work. As such, offering contact at times and in ways which fit in with my client’s own commitments is invaluable. With a little help from modern technology (and a good alarm clock!), I do my best to be available for them when it matters.

Why do your clients like working with you?

I make a point of quickly identifying my clients’ individual needs which enables me to take their matters through to successful conclusion in the most cost and time efficient way possible.

I can also speak French and Spanish which has proven to be surprisingly useful at times.
