Marcin Typiak

Trainee Solicitor

What do you do?

I joined Huggins in 2017 as a trainee solicitor and I am now in the final year of my two-year training contract.  I work closely with the partners and associates in all the areas of law we practice here at the firm.

In the family department, I have gained confidence in handling cases involving allegations of domestic violence securing numerous injunction orders for vulnerable clients to help them put their life back on track. Under the supervision of the Partners and qualified fee earners, I am also hands on case worker on a number of matters involving children law and have recently started assisting with the rights of tenants to extend their leases and preparing wills.

From Przemysl in Poland originally, I am fluent in both Polish and English and, when called upon by colleagues, I can also just about get by in Russian and Slovakian.

Why do your clients like working with you?

I am calm and patient and in law that is definitely an advantage.

Why do you love your job?

I love a challenge and working in law is both intellectually stimulating and emotionally rewarding. I am looking forward to a long and exciting career in law.
