We came across Huggins Lewis Foskett through another solicitor who could not support us with our conveyancing, and worked with Joyce Owusu-Afari. From start to finish, Joyce was proactive and clear in sharing updates, worked to pace, and was happy to answer any questions we had no matter how big or small. She supported my mother through a difficult family situation with a human touch, and we are so grateful for her support and quality of service. I would recommend Joyce to everyone and sincerely hope to work with her again.Mrs D.C.
I have just purchased a residential property and Joyce handled all of the conveyancing. I have been very impressed with the professional and skillful approach in which Joyce handled all of the matters. She provided me with clarity at each stage and also effectively took on board any instructions or concerns I passed to her. Joyce provided clear and concise advice and guidance at each stage regarding all of the documentation. I will strongly recommend her to my family and friends..H.Ismail.

Thank you so very much Joyce for all your hard work in helping to get my flat sold & also in the house purchase in Southend on Sea. We received your card which was a very nice touch. I was married on 7th July which is why this message has been delayed. I have no hesitation in recommending you & Huggins Foskett & Lewis to anyone who wants a professional service & superb expertise. Thanks once again Joyce.L.Brett
What do you do?
I am a Licensed Conveyancer in our residential property team. I have worked in conveyancing for over 18 years and qualified with CLC (Council for Licensed Conveyancers; the Specialist Property Law Regulator) in 2014. In my work I regularly act for clients who are purchasing with the assistance of Help to Buy Equity Loans and ISA schemes as well as shared ownership, new build purchases and buying and selling leasehold and freehold properties.
How do you make a difference for your clients?
I try to make the moving process as easy as I possibly can. Having worked in residential conveyancing for many years, I know that clients appreciate regular contact and so I do my best to give updates throughout the buying and selling process.
Tell us about your clients
Some of my clients know the conveyancing process well, others are first time buyers who are just beginning their journey and may be getting onto the housing ladder with the assistance of a Help to Buy Loan or through key worker/shared ownership schemes.
As well as clients who are buying and selling their own properties, I also act for personal representatives of deceased estates, private landlords with buy to let properties, and those transferring equity in their property to third parties, refinancing and/or switching mortgage provider. Whether a client is familiar with the process or not, I take them through the various stages to make sure they are happy and confident when it comes to completing their transaction.
