Licensed Conveyancer - Residential Conveyancing

What do you do?

I am a Licensed Conveyancer in our residential property team. I have worked in conveyancing for over 18 years and qualified with CLC (Council for Licensed Conveyancers; the Specialist Property Law Regulator) in 2014. In my work I regularly act for clients who are purchasing with the assistance of Help to Buy Equity Loans and ISA schemes as well as shared ownership, new build purchases and buying and selling leasehold and freehold properties.

How do you make a difference for your clients?

I try to make the moving process as easy as I possibly can. Having worked in residential conveyancing for many years, I know that clients appreciate regular contact and so I do my best to give updates throughout the buying and selling process.

Tell us about your clients

Some of my clients know the conveyancing process well, others are first time buyers who are just beginning their journey and may be getting onto the housing ladder with the assistance of a Help to Buy Loan or through key worker/shared ownership schemes.

As well as clients who are buying and selling their own properties, I also act for personal representatives of deceased estates, private landlords with buy to let properties, and those transferring equity in their property to third parties, refinancing and/or switching mortgage provider. Whether a client is familiar with the process or not, I take them through the various stages to make sure they are happy and confident when it comes to completing their transaction.

  • Like most people we rarely find ourselves using/needing a Solicitor. We went to Huggins Lewis Foskett & are very impressed with the speed in which they dealt with our enquiry & the professional manner in which it was dealt with. We were offered a home visit to help make things easier for our elderly mother with no hidden fees. Lucy is a delight to work with & a credit to this company. We will certainly return going forward

  • I had a property matter which was dealt with by the Firm's Conveyancing Department (Joyce Owusu-Afari). The matter was dealt with swiftly and I was kept informed until the end. Great work Joyce!/p>K.J
